Peer Advocates Wanted – Voluntary (x3)

We are recruiting for three volunteer Peer Advocates to join the VUWSA team.

Our peer advocates will work with the senior Student Advocate to provide a responsive and professional support service to assist students in overcoming stressful situations which will involve their academic and/or personal lives.

You will gain practical experience through our regular training and supervision sessions and by proactively assisting students with a wide range of issues.

Skills required:

• Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen
• A calm, empathetic and sensible manner
• Resiliency, a sense of humour and willingness to go the extra mile
• An understanding of natural justice principles
