The Teamvic 2007 Victoria University Blues Awards Ceremony
Come join the celebrations as we recognise the sporting achievements of Victoria University’s sporting elite. The prestigious annual Blues Awards Ceremony is in to its 42nd year and promises to be a momentous occasion. This year over 40 Victoria University athletes and administrators will be awarded university blues for their achievements over the past 12 months. Higher honours up for grabs on the evening are the 2007 Sports Administrator of the Year and the big one the 2007 Sports Person of the Year. Will it be Richie McCaw???? No because he doesn’t study at Vic. Nevertheless whoever is crowned Sports Person of the Year may well be on the way to becoming the next All Black captain or an Olympic gold medallist. Previous Blues include All Blacks Graham Mourie, Jerry Collins, and Conrad Smith, World Mountain Running Champ Kate McIlroy, and NZ Black Stick captain Suzie Pearce. Thus the 2007 winners are in great company. The ceremony is your chance to witness the sportspeople of the future.
- The ceremony will be held on Friday October 12th from 6.30pm at The Boatshed on Taranaki Wharf.
- Tickets to the event are $25 dollars for Vic students and $40 for non students.
- A ticket gains you access to the ceremony, a 3 course gourmet meal, and complimentary drinks.
- Dress is semi formal.
- You can buy a ticket from VUWSA Kelburn campus from 9am to 4.30pm weekdays.
I look forward to seeing you there.
