Ben Hurley (Headline Act)

“One of the Most exciting young Stand-ups on the UK circuit and he’s a Kiwi!” InLondon Magazine 2007
One of the success stories of New Zealand stand up comedy. After winning the two biggest comedy awards in New Zealand (NZ Comedy Guild Best Male Comedian in 2004 and The 2004 Oddfellows Billy T award), Hurley set sail for the UK and within a very short time fully established himself as a headline act.
“Genuinely funny thoughts and observations” Time Out (UK) 2007
“Brilliant - fresh, aloof in a nice relaxed, could stand there for hours, kind of way. Oh and ‘very engaging” Theatreview. NZ Comedy Festival 2007
“A Kiwi Comedic Legend” The New Zealand Herald (NZ) 2006
“Impressively slick and yes, funny.” NZ News UK (UK) 2006
“He can be easily consumed as pure entertainment” Metro (UK) 2005
“Hurley’s witty, self-deprecating storytelling goes down a treat” NZ News UK (UK) 2005
“It’s easy to see why he’s been given that ‘one to watch’ tag” The Dominion Post (NZ) 2005
2008 Billy T Comedy Award Nominee Simon Mckinney (headliner)

“A polished performer… His impressions were met with hearty laughter” - NZ HERALD
“Definitely one to catch” - THE LIST, EDINBURGH
“I’m still giggling about Simon McKinney” - NZ HERALD
Jamie Bowen (host)

“Jamie Bowen is entertaining, talented and hilarious… a true all rounder” - LUMIERE READER
3 times Billy T James Award nominee Jamie Bowen is relentless, often manic and normally found with his guitar “Dan Justice”. Jamie goes from stories to music and anywhere else (but only if you’re driving); always keen to show how much of an idiot he truly is! Since starting out his career with the now infamous sketch trio Gary, Jamie has spent the last 2 years working on his solo ideas in Edinburgh, Singapore and Melbourne. Back home and in top form, he’s proved himself to be one of NZ’s top up-and-coming Comedians.
