Capoeira Resistencia

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art. Students learn elements of fight, dance, music and language, as well as getting a taste of Brazil’s cultural heritage.

Since the 20th century, capoeira has spread widely and become a diverse tradition. These days you may see a capoeira circle (or ‘roda’) from parking lots in Boston to rooftops in Tokyo, even on Saturday afternoons on Oriental Parade! Our group, Capoeira Resistancia, trains in the most common form of capoeira, called regional which is recognisable by its speed and high energy.
