Victoria University of Wellington Students' Association

The VUW Medieval and Renaissance Society is a group that recreates the better parts of history.  Our members explore the parts of Medieval and Renaissance history and activities that interest them most, including fighting in armour and with rapiers, dancing, sewing, blacksmithing, calligraphy, and cooking.  The difference between us and a history class is the opportunity and encouragement to not just study the theory, but to try the practical skills yourself.  Most importantly, we enjoy ourselves while doing it all, at feasts, revels, tournaments, balls, encampments and regular casual meetings.
