There are over 40 Sports Clubs affiliated to VUWSA that include traditional sports, recreational, extreme sports, and martial arts.
The sporting highlights of the student calendar are the NZ University Games in Easter and the VUW Blues Awards (for sporting and administration excellence), which are presented in October. If you want to take part in the Games or qualify for a VUW Blue you need to be playing for a VUWSA affiliated club where possible.
As a club member you can also get involved in the running of a club from president or treasurer, to volunteer coordinator or publicity officer. This could lead to a position on the VUW Sports Council a student-run committee. So give it a go, whether you are honing your skills or trying something new, VUWSA has the sports team for you.
