Welcome to Four Kings Victoria University of Wellington Cricket Club - a club steeped in a century of tradition. Founded in 1906, the club is nestled on majestic Kelburn Park, right next to the University campus and overlooking the central city. For more than a hundred years many of Wellington and New Zealand’s finest players and scholars have graced the Kelburn grass in the green caps of University. Today the club caters for men and women players of all abilities. For the 2008/09 season we have 13 teams made up of students and non-students, which is the 2nd largest club in the Wellington region. We are committed to fostering cricketing excellence and a fantastic social atmosphere. We have close links with the University and Alumni, offering large discounts for students. Not only do we offer some of the cheapest subscriptions in town, we provide an excellent social and sporting environment to play the great game of cricket. Four Kings Sports bar is currently the club’s major sponsor which entitles club members to great discounts. There's nothing like the sound of leather on willow on a warm summer's day. Victoria University Cricket Club (est. 1905) can offer: A spot in men's and women's teams of all abilities; discounts at the Four Kings Sports bar; heavily discounted rates for students; the home of University cricket, Kelburn Park, conveniently situated right next to the Kelburn campus; serious cricket and/or a great social atmosphere.
