Victoria University of Wellington Students' Association

The Victoria University Netball Club is a proud and one of the largest netball clubs in the Wellington competition. We cater for around 80-100 ladies a season. Players range from all levels of ability and represent the club within the Premier Grades and also the Senior/Social Grades. The teams consist of around 60% students and 40% professionals. The club prides itself on keeping our fees as low as possible so our student majority is able to continue to play this sport whilst studying. All teams practice at our own facility located in Kelburn at the Salamanca Courts whilst our Saturday’s games are played at Haitaitai Park, Wellington. The Premier 1 & 2 team train indoors at the University Recreation Centre gym once a week. The club has an active committee that works alongside the OBU (University Old Boys Rugby Club) to deliver memorable events throughout the season and the club is fortunate to have the support from the Cambridge Hotel. This is where our clubrooms are located. They offer our players discounted drinks and a free BBQ meal on Saturday’s after our games at 6pm. Anyone is able to trial and everyone is guaranteed a place in a team.
