Sandra Crews, Student Advocate.
Independent help for Victoria University Students
Sandra is a full time staff member and has worked at VUWSA for 4+ years. During her time at Victoria University she has become familiar with key staff members, services, policy and disputes resolution and grievance processes.
Sandra assists all students at Victoria University including:
• Undergrad students including all Pipitea, Karori and Vivian St Campuses
• Online / distance students
• International Students
• Postgrad, PhD and Masters students
The Education office at VUWSA trains and supports all class reps and faculty delegates.
Sandra can assist with problem solving a range of issues, including but not limited to:
• Assessment and grade issues
• Workload issues
• Academic grievances; informal and formal
• Statue of Students Conduct Issues including halls
• Plagiarism
• Resource issues
• Feedback to course coordinators
• Relationship issues with tutors and academic staff
• Issues with courses
• Help with letters to academic staff
The Student Advocate:
• Has time to listen and understand your concerns
• Helps you break down complex issues
• Assists with constructive resolution of issues
• Provides a friendly, open, confidential service
