Making a professional impression

First impressions are important, but all impressions are just as important to Jason. One of the most significant aspects of his role is the opportunity to make a positive VUWSA-impression to external stakeholders; and then cultivating that relationship ensuring that clients have a positive customer journey – wherever that might be for them.

Small, medium, big – they’re all important

From large corporates, advertising agencies, the local cookie shop, and everyone in between, Jason manages an extensive range of clients nationally.

‘Seeing clients have really successful campaigns, and having them come back for more,’ says Jason, is what he most enjoys about his job.

It’s hard not to enjoy working here!

When he first started his Bachelor of Commerce back in 2013, he didn’t fully understand the important difference VUWSA made to University life. He never really knew what they did. That changed quickly in 2015 when he started working at VUWSA.

‘Seeing first-hand the many awesome things that happen behind the scenes and the differences we make to the University, it’s hard not to enjoy working here! Plus the people are nice.’

A 360-degree turnaround

Originally from Auckland, Jason came to study at Victoria to escape the family-business. Now in his final year at Victoria, he plans to head back to Auckland to take over the family business – funny that.
