Empowering students to handle challenges

Kate provides students with the tools and support to effectively navigate university processes. Through an empowerment framework, Kate is dedicated to helping students grow in conflict resolution, constructive communication and problem solving skills as they face any challenge disrupting their university experience.

‘I’m passionate about student wellbeing and creating the conditions of balance and fairness in which all students can thrive,’ says Kate.

A true expat at heart

Canadian by birth and global nomad by experience, Kate has worked in tertiary student support for seven years across four continents. From researching Gandhian Rural Institutes for the Government of India to chatting with Justin Trudeau about educational policy as a federal lobbyist, Kate has dedicated her career to innovations in Higher Education.

Outside of working hours, Kate adores exploring the vibrancy of Wellington, going out for dinner out with friends and day-break dance parties.
