Advocacy Office

VUWSA is run by students, so we understand what it’s like to be a student. We are there to support you – whether you’re having trouble paying the rent, getting an extension, or dealing with StudyLink. Don’t hesitate to ask VUWSA for help – just call into the ground floor of the Student Union Building and speak with VUWSA’s Student Advocate, Education Organiser, or a VUWSA Executive member.

Academic & Welfare Concerns

In many cases you will be able to deal with issues as they arise yourself. But sometimes you will need some extra support. Come see us if you have issues with your lecturer, course coordinator, tutor, landlord or employer.

If it’s an administration problem, you can see your Head of School or your Associate Dean or Dean – in fact any University staff member should be able to help you in some way. If it’s a course-related issue of any kind you can talk with your Class Representative – the person elected by your class at the beginning of a course.

If you’re not sure how to go about things and want some advice come see us at the Student Advocacy Office. The VUWSA Student Advocacy Office can be found at VUWSA on the ground floor of the Student Union Building.
