Postgraduate Voice Coordinator
Kia ora! I'm Liz. I'm a California girl who's been in Aotearoa New Zealand for 6 years. I just graduated my PhD in Health last December. When I was a postgraduate student I was involved in representation at the class, school, faculty, and university level. As VUWSA's Postgraduate Voice Coordinator my role is to support student representatives across the university, making sure that postgraduate issues are voiced in spaces where change can be made. Postgraduate Representative
Kia ora, ko George tōku ingoa. This is my sixth year studying at the wonderful Te Herenga Waka. Last year I finished a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts Conjoint, and now I'm excited to start my postgraduate journey with a Master of Strategic Studies. My goals for this year are: negotiate for greater guaranteed resources for research students; advocate for international postgraduate students; actively consult and connect with postgraduate students across the university to ensure I represent the diverse cohort of students that make up the postgraduate community; work with Liz to build a network of class and faculty reps that ensure the postgraduate voice is loud in all university spaces; and advocate on postgraduate issues in the lead up to the general election! Please feel free to email me at postgrad@vuwsa.org.nz if you have any concerns or ideas for anything postgraduate related!
