Here is a non-exclusive list of information for you as a VUWSA Exec Elections candidate. Please read this through in its entirety, and tick the checkbox below once you've read it.
- You are welcome to apply for up to two roles in our elections. If you'd like to apply for a second role, just submit this form and fill it out again!
- Elected Executives are paid via Honoraria. If you have a work VISA with work conditions, please check that you can be paid honoraria, as this is the only way VUWSA can pay remunerations to Elected Executives.
- Exec Election candidates must be nominated by two current student nominators, as noted above.
- You are required to provide a photo and blurb for publicity purposes by 10AM, WED 10 SEPT - BUT ASAP IS BETTER . You can take your picture, or email communications@vuwsa.org.nz ASAP to come in and take yours for you.
- Blurbs are 200 words, and this is a strict limit, we will cut your words off if they go past 200. This will be what voters see when they click on your profile on our voting site, so be clear about what you bring to the table as a potential candidate!
- VUWSA will print up to 100 A3 posters for your campaign; just email what you need printed and how many you would like to our receptionist - kelburn@vuwsa.org.nz - we can be busy, so please make sure the file is the right size.
- The election period is soon, so you’re welcome to start campaigning when you wish..
- Please do not put promo material on random University walls, pillars, etc. This annoys key University staff, and they in turn annoy us, and we don’t want to have to annoy you. Use the noticeboards, there are lots around campus.
- You are not permitted to use the VUWSA logo, we do not endorse candidates.
- The voter website will be https://voting.vuwsa.org.nz/login - feel free to use it in your promo.
